PACG provides advisory services across Sub-Saharan Africa. These engagements have ranged from strategic advice on mergers and acquisitions, financial structuring, and business development to due diligence and government relations. PACG’s diverse advisory clients include leading multinationals, African corporates and financial institutions, global philanthropies, and private and institutional investors. Gold royalty company
An African government approached PACG to help structure an innovative, publicly listed company to help them monetize royalties from their gold mines. PACG has worked closely with government ministries, international investors and advisors to establish and market the company. This company can be used as a template for other countries to replicate as a way of controlling their inflows from natural resources in a transparent publicly listed vehicle.
Multi-use real estate development
PACG has partnered with one of the leading African Real-Estate developers on a multi-use development to revitalize an old facility in the center of a West African capital city’s main business district. When complete, this development will include residences, a hotel, an event space, a mall and a park.
Multinational Agribusiness Development Project
PACG jointly developed a $60 million project to develop a 5,000-acre tropical fruit plantation in West Africa. PACG identified potential concession areas based on the developer’s specifications, co-wrote a feasibility study, negotiated the concession, and created the financial model for the investment memorandum.
Biomass Generation Project
PACG advised the sponsors of an innovative $200 million, 35-MW biomass generation plant in Liberia. PACG provided support on negotiations with local partners, international financiers, and the Government of Liberia.
Airport Development Project
PACG jointly developed a $55 million international airport redevelopment in West Africa. PACG worked with the sponsors to create a secured transaction structure that enabled the sponsors to develop the project in tranches and access international finance from the project. PACG created a detailed financial and business plan for the sponsors and helped with the negotiation of the concession with local and international stakeholders.
Multinational Oil and Gas Concessions
PACG has worked with a number of leading international oil and gas companies, including big majors and junior explorers, to assess market opportunities across Sub-Saharan Africa. Specific mandates in this sector have included due diligence, government relations, and private placements in advance of capital market fundraisings.
ICT Sector
PACG has worked closely with a number of telecommunications companies in various markets in Sub-Saharan Africa. PACG has held roles in numerous capacities ranging from being the strategic advisor for the ICT company, to the advisor of the relevant governmental ministries and the executive branch.
Multinational Mining Concessions
PACG has worked with a number of leading mining companies active in Sub-Saharan Africa. PACG assessed market opportunities across Sub-Saharan Africa, created specific strategies and executed mandates accordingly. PACG’s work has included due diligence, government relations, and private placements in advance of capital market fundraising.
Emergency Power Projects
PACG has developed, structured, and co-financed emergency power solutions throughout Sub-Saharan Africa using modular technologies supplied by multinational OEMs and managed by international and local utilities. PACG, together with partners, have structured and financed petroleum storage facilities throughout West Africa.
